Well, like I wrote somewhere during the setup of this thing….I am new to blogging so it may start off rocky. I think as time moves forward, however, this will become easier. Because, let’s face it, I love people and I have so much stuff in my head that I want to get out…what better way???
I am 36 y/o Christian Man, married to a wonderful Woman of 12 years (and counting), I have three lovely daughters, three very large dogs, three cats, and a guinea pig….also, our current home is not big enough for all of the hot, breathing bodies in there. On the plus side, our bedroom stays about 10 degrees warmer during the winter because all of the aforementioned family members usually end up in the same room at night. (actually, I like it to be much colder, but I can’t argue with the cost savings).
I am retired, disabled from the US Army after 10 years of service. I did half of that as an Infantryman with two combat deployments to Iraq, and the other half as a combat medic working first at a clinic on Sand Hill (Fort Benning) and then out to Camp Rogers to be the first ever Airborne and Ranger Training Brigade Medic, and I was only an E5 (SGT). Now that position is filled by an E7. Just tootin my own horn a bit.
I’ve done much volunteer work…spent several years as a Volunteer Firefighter in Alabama. I am currently a Red Cross Disaster Services Volunteer.
And…I am a full time graduate student at Western Michigan University pursing advanced degrees in clinical counseling, mental health, and eventually neuroscience. I actually have huge plans for life, but that’s for another post.
I think I’ll cut it here. I welcome any feedback, comments, or complaints…
